The college is closed because of the Coronavirus so I guess I'm unemployed. Here I am in the house alone (I'm good with that) and all I see are the projects that I said I didn't have time for. I'm cleaning out clutter. Do I really need an owner's manual for a hot water heater that I haven't had for over 17 years?
Although I'll miss the human contact that work and church provide I'm reminded by this silly card, which I love, that friends come in all shapes, sizes, and species.

Splurge
I tend to be frugal although some would say miserly. But the thing is I have to be in the mood to spend money. And once I get started I just roll with it. So far this new year (and we're only in February) I've replace a 15 year old couch, 25 year old tables, 15 year old window treatments, and am working on having my master bathroom updated. One sunny afternoon I looked into my "new" den. The light was shining on my flowers. I thought "Wow! This is my favorite spot in the world." I am so grateful for and blessed with a quiet, simple life. I've made it to a healthy 65 so everything else is just gravy.
P.S. Every time I make I new post I look at Casey's page. I miss her.

Holidays Approacheth
This is the time of year our church sells apples as a fund raising activity. I sold my share this year and took some to the library to share. They were a hit, probably because they are so fresh. I remember years ago going to the western part of Virginia with a friend (you!) to get apples. I suspect that next year when I take order forms to work I'll sell even more. By the way, it's cold and windy outside and I'm snug and warm. Stay cozy everyone.
