Brrr!

This snow was a few years ago. I hope we don't get any this winter but ... one of the water mains on Edinburgh burst today. They fixed it but I freaked a bit when my toilet started burping. I thought I had some burst pipes or something. All's well now though. Whew.

Small Christmas

The little tree by my garage is so cute. I also put candles in the windows of the house. Christmas these days is more about the real meaning rather than the whole Santa thing. Isn't it true that times of our lives come and go. Sometimes our days are exciting. Sometimes our days are sad. Sometimes our days fill us with a warm contentment. Then that darn icy wind of life blows again!

Nature

Just a short drive south in Virginia Beach is scenic Back Bay. There are hidden vistas that come up while driving down country roads. It is so quiet, except for an occasional bird call. Nature truly is God's gift to us and it is magical.
