Better Safe Than Sorry

Pandemic 2019: If it's hard for you to stay home, pretend getting a call saying you've tested positive for Covid-19. Anyone you've been in contact with (including family and friends) could catch the virus from you and could die.  If you get sick will medical personnel help you or ask "Why didn't you stay home?" Don't put others in harm's way.

It's not the event that defines us, but rather the way we respond.

My World

Because I'm still staying at home due to the Coronavirus, my world, though small, is even smaller now. I feel like I'm caught in a reflection of what life was just a month ago.  I'm doing some work from home so that's good. I'm thankful that although I've lost BIG $$ in my investments I  have time for them to recover. I have food, a roof over my head, and a steady retirement income.  I'm able and glad to help others by making donations to my church food bank.

This situation will pass and how we cope will be forever remembered in history.

You've Got a Friend

The college is closed because of the Coronavirus so I guess I'm unemployed. Here I am in the house alone (I'm good with that) and all I see are the projects that I said I didn't have time for. I'm cleaning out clutter. Do I really need an owner's manual for a hot water heater that I haven't had for over 17 years?

Although I'll miss the human contact that work and church provide I'm reminded by this silly card, which I love, that friends come in all shapes, sizes, and species.
